Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions
These Terms apply to the CPAP Ninja Extended Warranty Program (“Extended Warranty” or “Program”). By purchasing Extended Warranty coverage from CPAP Ninja, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the conditions described below.
1. Who Can Purchase Coverage
Extended Warranty coverage is available for select CPAP and BiPAP machines sold or approved by CPAP Ninja.
For a machine to qualify:
- The device must be eligible for Extended Warranty coverage.
- Coverage must be purchased before the original manufacturer warranty expires.
- Each Extended Warranty applies to one specific machine and is associated with that machine’s serial number.
- CPAP Ninja may request information needed to confirm the machine’s eligibility before activating coverage.
If eligibility cannot be confirmed, CPAP Ninja may decline or cancel enrollment in the Program.
2. When Extended Coverage Starts
Extended Warranty coverage does not replace or overlap with the manufacturer’s original warranty. It begins once the applicable manufacturer warranty ends.
CPAP Ninja currently offers the following additional coverage options:
- 1 additional year
- 2 additional years
For a machine with a standard 2-year manufacturer warranty, this means coverage would apply during Year 3 or Years 3 and 4, depending on the option purchased.
If a machine includes a different manufacturer warranty period, the Extended Warranty start date will be adjusted accordingly.
3. Covered Machine Problems
During the applicable Extended Warranty period, CPAP Ninja may repair or replace an eligible machine when a qualifying failure occurs during normal residential use.
Eligible issues may include:
- Mechanical malfunction
- Electrical malfunction
- Failure of internal components
- Defects related to materials or workmanship
- Failures occurring during normal operation
- Unusual or excessive machine or motor noise caused by mechanical failure or excessive wear
- Motor-life warnings or end-of-motor-life errors, after inspection and confirmation by CPAP Ninja
All claims are subject to review. Coverage applies only when CPAP Ninja determines that the reported problem qualifies under the Program.
4. Exclusions
The Extended Warranty is intended to cover qualifying machine failures. It does not cover damage or problems resulting from:
- Water or other liquid entering the machine
- Accidents
- Drops, impacts, or physical damage
- Improper use, abuse, or neglect
- Improper transportation or storage
- Repairs, alterations, or modifications not authorized by CPAP Ninja or the manufacturer
- Use that does not follow the manufacturer’s instructions
- Fire, flooding, natural disasters, or other external causes
- Theft or loss
- Cosmetic wear or damage that does not affect the operation of the machine
Consumable and replaceable accessories are also excluded, including, but not limited to:
- Filters
- CPAP tubing
- Masks and mask components
- Humidifier water chambers
- Other routinely replaced accessories or supplies
CPAP Ninja will determine whether the reported issue resulted from an eligible machine failure or an excluded event.
5. Filing a Warranty Claim
Customers requesting service under the Extended Warranty must contact CPAP Ninja before their coverage expires.
To begin a claim, the customer must:
- Contact CPAP Ninja and report the problem.
- Provide any information reasonably requested to evaluate the claim.
- Wait for claim approval and shipping instructions before sending the machine.
The claim opening date will be the date CPAP Ninja receives the customer’s initial claim request.
6. Sending Your Machine to CPAP Ninja
After a claim is approved, the machine must be shipped to CPAP Ninja within 15 calendar days.
Claims may be denied if the machine is not shipped within this timeframe.
For qualifying approved claims, CPAP Ninja will cover reasonable shipping costs to and from its service location using the shipping method selected by CPAP Ninja.
7. How Approved Claims Are Resolved
After evaluating the machine, CPAP Ninja will determine whether repair or replacement is the appropriate solution.
Depending on availability and the circumstances of the claim, CPAP Ninja may provide:
- A repaired machine
- A refurbished machine
- An equivalent replacement machine
- A comparable current-generation model offering similar or greater functionality
CPAP Ninja does not guarantee replacement with the exact same brand, model, color, or configuration as the original machine.
8. Machines That Are No Longer Available
CPAP and BiPAP models may be discontinued or become unavailable over time.
If the original machine is no longer reasonably available, CPAP Ninja may provide a refurbished, equivalent, or newer machine with comparable functionality.
9. Coverage Following a Replacement
Receiving a replacement machine does not create a new Extended Warranty period.
The replacement machine will remain covered only for the time remaining under the original Extended Warranty purchased by the customer.
10. Maximum Number of Claims
Each Extended Warranty allows a maximum of two (2) approved claims during its coverage period.
Once two approved claims have been completed, CPAP Ninja may decline any additional claims under that Extended Warranty.
11. Moving Coverage to Another Machine
In certain situations, CPAP Ninja may allow a customer to transfer the remaining Extended Warranty coverage one time to another eligible machine purchased from CPAP Ninja.
Any transfer:
- Requires approval from CPAP Ninja.
- Is subject to eligibility verification.
- Applies only to the remaining Extended Warranty period.
- Does not restart or extend the original coverage period.
Transfers are not guaranteed and are approved at CPAP Ninja’s discretion.
12. Cancellations and Refund Eligibility
Customers may cancel the Extended Warranty and receive a full refund when:
- No Extended Warranty claim has been submitted, and
- The original manufacturer warranty is still active.
Once the manufacturer warranty ends and Extended Warranty coverage begins, the Extended Warranty is non-refundable.
Refunds may also be denied after a warranty claim has been submitted.
13. Program Restrictions
The CPAP Ninja Extended Warranty:
- Is a service warranty and is not an insurance policy.
- Applies only to the specific machine registered under the Program.
- Is intended for normal residential use.
- Does not cover commercial or rental use unless CPAP Ninja specifically approves such coverage.
- Is available only in locations where CPAP Ninja provides warranty service.
14. Liability
CPAP Ninja’s responsibility under the Extended Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of an eligible covered machine in accordance with these Terms.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CPAP Ninja will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses resulting from a covered machine failure, including inconvenience, loss of use, lost income, or interruption of therapy.
15. Updates to These Terms
CPAP Ninja may revise or update the Extended Warranty Program and these Terms for future purchases.
Changes made after a customer purchases an Extended Warranty will not reduce the coverage already provided under that active Extended Warranty.
