DreamStation 2 Auto CPAP Advanced by Philips Respironics

Philips Respironics’ DreamStation 2 was built with comfort, ease-of-use, and convenience in mind. Its compact, sleek build makes it so you can transport it with convenience wherever you need to go, and its color touchscreen increases its ease-of-use tenfold. The Ramp Plus technology helps set a lower pressure setting before sleeping so it’s easier to fall asleep, then gradually ramps up the pressure gently.

Compact and light

The DreamStation 2 is 29% smaller and 32.5% lighter than the original DreamStation. It’s also 22% smaller and 16% lighter than leading competitors. The DreamStation 2’s lightweight, compact build makes it perfect for not only use at home, but also on trips.

Built-in humidifier

An integrated built-in humidifier helps you travel in comfort. While many other machines have humidifiers that add to the bulk of the machine, the DreamStation 2 was designed to keep everything manageable.

Ramp Plus comfort settings

The all new Ramp Plus technology helps customize your machine to your needs. Ramp Plus allows you to control the ramp pressure so you can fall asleep at a pressure that’s right for you. This system is especially helpful if you have trouble falling asleep when your machine is set to a higher pressure. Ramp Plus will gently ease you into normal therapy pressures over your sleeping period so you can sleep comfortably.

Designed with ease-of-use in mind

A color touchscreen and cell modem integrated Bluetooth make using your new DreamStation 2 a breeze. All settings and data are easily accessible.

Enhanced Patient Engagement

Philips DreamMapper sleep apnea mobile app with improved built-in Bluetooth connectivity enables patients to view their own nightly sleep data to help them stay motivated and keep track of their therapy, including mask fit and therapy hours. Patients who used DreamMapper had 283% higher success rate sticking with sleep therapy.

Need more help? Feel free to contact us and our sleep gurus will be more than happy to help!

What is the 'Ramp Plus' feature on the DreamStation 2?
Ramp Plus allows you to choose a comfortable starting pressure (e.g., 4, 6, 8, or 10 cmH2O) that the machine will maintain while you fall asleep before switching to your therapy pressure.
    What is 'SmartRamp'?
SmartRamp (found on Philips machines) monitors your breathing during the ramp period and only increases the pressure if it detects an event occurring.
How do I use the 'Check Mask Fit' feature on a Philips machine?
The DreamStation 2 filter is located on the back of the device. You simply pull out the filter tray and replace the disposable fine filter or clean the reusable pollen filter.
Does the DreamStation 2 have a cellular modem?
Yes, the DreamStation 2 has built-in cellular and Bluetooth connectivity for automatic data uploads to the DreamMapper app.
    What is 'A-Flex' vs 'C-Flex'?
C-Flex provides pressure relief at the start of exhalation. A-Flex provides relief throughout the entire exhalation and inhalation transition.
    What is 'Bi-Flex' Level 1, 2, and 3?
On Philips machines, Bi-Flex provides pressure relief at the end of inhalation and the start of exhalation to make breathing feel more natural.
What is the 'ST' mode on a Bilevel machine?
ST stands for 'Spontaneous/Timed'. It provides Bilevel therapy but adds a backup rate to ensure the machine delivers a breath if the patient doesn't initiate one within a certain timeframe.
How do I change the filter on a Philips DreamStation 2?
The DreamStation 2 filter is located on the back of the device. You simply pull out the filter tray and replace the disposable fine filter or clean the reusable pollen filter.
How do I replace the DreamStation reusable filter?
The dark blue filter should be rinsed every 2 weeks and replaced every 6 months. Never use the machine without the reusable filter installed.
What is the filter frame on a DreamStation?
The DreamStation uses a blue reusable frame that holds the disposable fine filter. Make sure the fine filter is securely snapped into the frame before inserting.
Is the DreamStation 2 humidifier tub dishwasher safe?
Yes, the DreamStation 2 water tank is designed to be top-rack dishwasher safe for easier cleaning.
Why is the water tank on the DreamStation 2 smaller than the original?
The DreamStation 2 was designed for a smaller footprint. Despite being smaller, the heating system is more efficient at providing consistent humidity.
How do I access the SD card on a DreamStation 2?
The SD card slot is located inside the water tank compartment. You must remove the water tank to see and access the card.
How do I format an SD card for a Philips machine?
Philips machines typically use a standard 'PROV' folder. If the card is corrupted, format it to FAT32 on your PC and the machine will recreate the folders.
Can I use my DreamStation 1 power supply with a DreamStation 2?
No, the DreamStation 2 uses a different power connection and a more compact power supply. Always use the cord specifically designed for your machine.
Why does my DreamStation 2 beep when I turn it on?
A short beep is normal during the startup self-test. If it continues to beep or shows an error message, it may indicate a technical fault or a power supply issue.
How do I stop the blue light on my DreamStation from bothering me?
The light should dim automatically, but you can also place a small piece of light-dimming tape over the indicator if it is too bright.
Why is my DreamStation 2 showing a "Service Required" message?
This is a general fault code. Contact your equipment provider to have the machine inspected or repaired under warranty.
