What is the VAuto mode on the AirCurve 11 BiPAP?
The VAuto mode on the AirCurve 11 automatically adjusts IPAP (inhalation pressure) and EPAP (exhalation pressure) according to flow limits, snoring, and apnea events. It provides a more comfortable and personalized OSA treatment experience.
How often should I clean the AirCurve 11 VAuto?
Daily: Empty the humidifier tub and wipe dry with a clean cloth. Refill with distilled water (for Standard Water Tub) or potable water (for Cleanable Water Tub).
Weekly: Wipe the exterior of the AirCurve 11 with a clean, damp cloth. Wash the tubing, humidifier tub, and outlet connector with mild soap and warm water. You can also use a dishwasher to clean the outlet connector and Cleanable Water Tub. Allow to dry completely and keep away from direct sunlight.
Can I use oxygen with my ResMed AirCurve 11 BiPAP?
Yes. The ResMed AirCurve 11 VAuto BiPAP is compatible with up to 15 L/min of supplemental oxygen. When using supplemental oxygen with the VAuto:
Attach the oxygen adapter to the air outlet of the AirCurve 11.
Attach the non-heated SlimLine Tubing (or any non-heated tubing) to the oxygen adapter.
Connect one end of your oxygen tubing to the oxygen delivery system’s outlet port and the other end of the tubing to the oxygen adapter.
Make sure there are no blockages in the tubing or connector.
To start therapy, turn on the AirCurve 11 first. Then, turn on the oxygen delivery system.
To stop therapy, turn off the oxygen delivery system first, then the AirCurve 11.
If using the ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tubing, connect the oxygen adapter between the hose and your mask.
Can I use the ResMed AirCurve 11 without the humidifier?
Yes. The AirCurve 11 VAuto has an integrated humidifier that can’t be removed, but you can set the humidity level to “Off.” You can also use the optional Air11 Side Cover in place of the removable water tub to automatically disable the humidifier and reduce the machine's size.
Is the AirCurve 11 VAuto suitable for travel?
Yes. The AirCurve 11 VAuto is FAA-approved for air travel. You can bring it onboard as a carry-on — it doesn’t count toward your carry-on luggage limit as it is a medical device.
Before using it on a plane, make sure to empty the humidifier tub or replace the water tub with the Air11 Side Cover. You should also turn on the device’s airplane mode, which can be found by clicking “More” on the home screen.
What filters are compatible with the AirCurve 11 VAuto bilevel machine?
The AirCurve 11 VAuto uses Air11 Disposable Filters and Air11 Hypoallergenic Filters. Only one type of filter can be used in the device at a time.
What tubing can I use with the AirCurve 11 VAuto?
The AirCurve 11 VAuto is compatible with the ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tubing as well as any non-heated tubing.
