This replacement cushion fits the ResMed AirFit/AirTouch F40 CPAP masks. Both cushion types attach to the same frame, so you can switch between silicone and fabric without buying a new mask or getting refitted.

Each cushion comes in three sizes: small wide, medium and large. All three sizes fit the standard frame, so changing sizes is easy.

Which cushion should I choose?
If silicone has worked well for you, stay with the AirFit F40 silicone cushion. If silicone bothers your skin or feels warm and sweaty, try the AirTouch F40 fabric cushion.

Can I use the fabric cushion on my AirFit F40 mask?
Yes. According to ResMed, the AirTouch F40 fabric cushion fits the AirFit F40 frame, so there’s no need for a new mask or a new fitting.

How do I find the size of my AirFit F40 cushion?
The cushion size (SW, M or L) can be found on the bottom right side of the cushion. To find your best-fitting F40 cushion size, use the AirFit F40 Fitting Template. 

1. Stand in front of a mirror and hold the template under your nose.
2. Align your nose with the blue Medium box on the template. If your entire nose fits within the blue box, choose medium as your F40 cushion size. 
3. If your nose does not fit within the blue box, align your nose with the purple Small-Wide and gray Large boxes.
4. Select the cushion size that allows your entire nose to fit comfortably inside. If your nose fits into multiple boxes, choose the size that best accommodates your nose width.

When should I replace my AirFit F40 cushion? 
We recommend replacing your F40 cushion every 2-3 months for the best mask seal. Silicone cushions naturally soften over time and regular replacement ensures a proper seal for effective therapy.
