AirMini Portable CPAP

I did not care for the machine and returned it on day 2. I would have sent it back after day 1 but thought I should give it a fair chance. It is very loud and if you follow Star Wars, I sounded like Darth Vader while using it. I could not sleep either night and had a horrible sore throat from (what I believe is) not having the humidifier. I have been using a ResMed air sense machine (every night) for years. I was hoping the portable would be a good solution for traveling but sadly it was not for me. It was an expensive test ($180 for the 30 day rental, only to be returned after 2 days) but you donā€™t know unless you try. Iā€™m happy for those who have had success with the portable mini.

I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the ResMed AirMini. Typically, travel CPAPs are a few decibels higher than the standard units, simply because they are so compact! As for the sore throat, were you able to utilize the humidification moisture exchange filters? They provide humification without the use of a humidification chamber! ResMed Air Mini

Did not like this machine. when paired with the mask it constantly leaked air and was loud. The company started charging me without authorization before the 30 day rental period was up. I will not do business with this company again.

Thank you for your response. Let me address some of your concerns.
We have staff that can help you with the mask problem that are here and ready to assist via phone and chat.
For the charge, we actually did not charge you, we only added a hold for the machine on 09/25/23 and once the return label was activated, that hold was released on the same day.
This is such a great service if you need a machine for a short time :)

ResMed AirMini Auto CPAP Rental

I am a long time CPAP user. I have used ResMed S9 and ResMed Air Sense 10 units until they needed replacement and am currently using a ResMed Air Sense 11 unit for my normal home therapy. While planning a trip to Europe I learned it was possible to rent a travel CPAP machine. I have traveled successfully and extensively with my other machines and the idea of traveling with a smaller, more portable machine was attractive. This was a longer, three-week trip with lots of competition for luggage space. My pre-rental research indicated that the travel models did not use conventional humidifiers and eliminating the need for humidification water was attractive too. I rented the ResMed Air Mini Auto Travel Machine from CPAPMan.com. It came with the unit, power supply, and travel bag you would expect. It also came with an adapter and hose that allow the use of my normal home mask, without humidification. I frequently used no humidification with my ResMed S9, so I gave it a try, at home, before my trip. It worked fine, but I found I was used to the humidification I was using currently, I and decided to use a mask intended for use with the AirMini and its HumidX technology. (Separate purchase and review.) I tried it out at home too, prior to the trip, and it worked fantastic. I used the AirMini on the airplane on the flight to London, and every night of the trip with hotel stays in the UK, Belgium, Germany, and Italy. It performed flawlessly and easily traveled in my backpack when moving from hotel to hotel, by bus, train, and airplane. I am so happy with the equipment and the rental that I bought the rental unit when I returned home.
